The Centre for Personalised Medicine's platform is made possible utilising cutting-edge technology. Current testing includes genetic mutation analysis, immune cells in the blood, and RNA sequencing analysis showing which genes and pathways are active. However, technologies develop at a rapid pace and the CPM incorporates and develops new technologies including multi-omic analysis and artificial intelligence into personalised medicine

Our initial aim is to generate comprehensive data for individual patients to enable innovative clinical decisions to be made. The CPM is developing first-in-class drugs to treat autoimmune kidney disease, artificial intelligence to help diagnose kidney biopsies, and machine learning algorithms to accelerate the adopting of genomic and cellular data.

Kidney AI research

Explore how machine learning is transforming kidney disease care. A new study, led by our own Dr Daniel Chistiadi, published in Frontiers in Medicine introduces a dynamic survival prediction model to enhance prognostic accuracy for end-stage kidney disease patients. Learn more about the full study here.

Future Direction: We are confident that our research has the potential to change the way clinicians diagnose and treat their patients by providing them with powerful diagnostic tools to improve our understanding of disease, potential targeted treatment options and, ultimately, patient outcomes. We are dedicated to conducting rigorous research and development to ensure that our AI-driven and new treatment solutions meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and safety. Through collaboration with leading experts in the field, the CPM strives to continuously improve and refine our technologies to better serve patients and healthcare providers in Australia and worldwide.
