Presenting personalised medicine breakthroughs

Updated: Jul 16

Dr Vicki Athanasopoulos met with AHEPA committee members at the Hellenic Club in Canberra to share insights into her research in personalised medicine. Dr Athanasopoulos explained how personalised medicine is transforming the way we approach certain cases of autoimmunity, uncovering the unique underlying causes of illness and tailoring care to the individual. The committee members were very engaged, asking insightful questions and expressing great interest in the topic.

Dr Vicki Athanasopoulos was joined by Kerry-Ann Virgo from ANU Advancement, who outlined the Centre for Personalised Medicine’s (CPM) fundraising efforts and future vision. We're excited to share that the committee has generously offered to support CPM by hosting an awareness event in October 2025. We’re grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment to raising awareness for the centre.
